Bargain

He could sell that for double at least, no?
-

I must admit I'm tempted to buy it and try my luck on ebay. I'd have to borrow the money to do it but I'm sure I could make it back!
Still, I'd rather see it go to someone on here - it'll make a mean whip -

^^But he wants to sell it for £400. What is it with people needing to undermine generosity/non-profit-making attitudes?

Or you attempt to bag a bargain? soz
Besides it's a bike shop, it's his job!

56, why oh why a 56?
:'( :'( :'(

^^I'm not interested - it's too big. I should've said non-ridiculous-profit-making attitudes. It's a niche bike (with proprietary bits), so better to shift it for £400 rather than have it taking up space and gathering dust.

Just called him to arrange for me to go an take some photos, and it turns out he's listed it on ebay at the weekend! BOO. I wish he'd mentioned as it seems it'll go for a more than £400 now. Sorry guys!
Here's the link to the auction anyway...

You have to watch some of those dual purpose frames, not sure if that one is, but Issac do make them. Designed to be used for track or road TT with swappable dropouts. 130 and 120mm, problem is the 120mm rear spacing set up is inboard of the dropouts which means the chainstays are wider than a normal track frame. People with larger feet then have trouble with their heels hitting the stays with a track crankset on.

Isn't that almost always the case ?
Or are the chain stays shaped for 130mm OLD and have the track dropouts been placed more inwards for the 120mm OLD ?

Plus the geometry is not ideal for either on dual purpose frames.

Indeed, hence the problem with heels hitting the stays. they didn't really think about the q factor of track drivetrain.

gorgeous!
The chap who runs my LBS shop asked me if I could help him find a buyer for an Isaac track frame he's got in. Full carbon with bolt on aluminium dropouts, crazy aero seatpost (included) with carbon forks and integrated headset.
It's a 56x56 with quite a bit of post out at the moment (which could be cut down I presume)
I've not got a photo of the actual frame yet (I'll pop over and take some soon), but It looks like the one I've linked here, only larger.

Cost about £1600 new. £400 takes it.
Let me know if you're interested and I'll endeavour to take some pics ASAP
