That looks like the new trick frame to me, as posted previously
From Urban Velo "While at first glance it may look similar to the recently unveiled Launchpad trick bike, this so-far unnamed prototype will feature it’s own geometry."
"Two sizes are expected to be produced, with no word on expected availability just yet. Assuming everything works out and they can keep the bike under a grand, I’d expect them to sell as many of these as BMW can create."

...the Launchpad?? Hmm... not sure. I think it might just be a Gangsta with the new Clusterfork fitted.
More pics of the new bike third item down on the BMW blog:

...toptube/seattube junction looks a bit different on the new bike.

Damn I want one. Any of the ones posted would do! CG Allin's bike is sweet. Personally I'd do without the blue anodised bits, but that just my pref. They all rock.
To me they look like the the perfect 1 bike to own.
What's the deal with front brakes? Do you order forks with V-brake bosses or just go nuts and build up a disc front end?
-

...the original flat-blade Gangsta fork you can order with or without the V bosses. They were rumoured to be working on a disc-mount version ages ago, but Joe said they didn't hold up in testing so they dropped the idea.
The new Clusterfork (featured on that link I posted above), is available with 990 mounts...

love 'em, and particularly the blade twin plate forks. I would buy one for my bike if I could. The price of the frame makes my eyes water just a tad tho

I can work with that: make sure I get first refusal?

I love these frames, but along with alot of other frames, it is far to small for me. Even the large would be well to small for me. I'll keep saving for the Bob Jackson

Are you sure? because the medium fit a 6'2 person (maximum) perfectly, so a large Gangsta should fit you nicely, that is unless you're more than 6'6.

what size is a medium? 46 or 48?

Sorry to bring this up again. But I think I'm going to buy one of these.
The old Brooklyn site doesn't allow me to get to the specs page - for some reason?!
I'm 6ft 1ish and I think I need the medium - 46cm.
Would the large (50cm) be too big?
It looks quite massive on the site.
Do Tokyo Fixed Gear have any built up?

46, the number seemed very small, but that because it's measure from centre to centre, not centre to top of the seat clamp.
arantrek, are you sure you check the BMW site? it's listed there under specification.

medium should fit you fine.

Yes, I checked it, but the actual toptube measurement is not there. And for some reason their old site just times out.
Did you end up getting one edscoble? How tall are you and what size would/did you go for?

...as I said earlier in the thread, I'm 6' 2" and ride a 46", looks compact but I wouldn't want the bigger frame

Thanks unbroken. I did see your post, but i wasn't sure whether you meant you prefer a smaller frame, or it just looks compact and actually fits fine.
What size frame would you normally ride (on a 'normal' bike)?

the top tube is pretty long so you'll be fine, I've yet to get one but I did borrow a BMW Gangsta for a couple weeks thought, 46cm is spot on once you have your preferred stem length and saddle.
it look small, but believe me it's not, it's just the compact geo and the short headtube (due to the long fork) that make it look smaller than it is.

okay I did a very rough illustration of how a normal frame look on a gangsta;
I put it side by side with my classic steel frame, the seatpost and handlebar is just exactly where i like it to be.

...to be honest, I've no idea what frame size I 'take' in road bike terms, and do tend to prefer a smaller MTB frame, but my previous commuter was a large Cotic Roadrat.
Side-by-side, the Cotic's frame looked huge, but the contact points, grips/saddle/pedals were in almost exactly the same relative position (if that makes any sense!) and the Brooklyn is much comfier to ride.
That looks like the new trick frame to me, as posted previously
