Lovely frame which looks similar to the one Nelson Vails was using in '84.

Sell this bike to Japan/Taiwan. There's some enthusiasts over there that would cherish a bike like this especially as it has provenance.

Hey FF
I was there (the first pic) for that sprint and am somewhere in the grandstand on the left of the pic.....that's Paul Swinnerton that Mark is racing there....I was in the Junior champs that same year....
Worth noting that the frame has had a respray in its life.....I remember it in the Ti Raleigh get up you see in the pics....and also remember that Mark used to travel everywhere in a little old blue Mini with his dad, with a bike on the roof that must have been worth many more times the value of the car!!!!
Great bit of nostalgia - I would have had the bike off you if I could have justified it sitting on the garage wall!!!
;o)

Nelson Vails wasn't that good (in my opinion) even though he looked so scary....he only won the olympics because the ruski's and the east germans weren't there....he'd have had no chance if they had been (witness his world champs results)....I think he was actually too big!
