R.I.P my Ron Cooper

I retrieved the bike this morning [well had it brought back for me :)]

Poor Ronnie is in a bad way, this was my London-Edinburgh-London bike in 2005
This was a result of a 20mph in to the side of a car when it turned right across my lane from the opposite direction.

So far I can see the bent down and top tubes, the forks are twisted as well as bent back, the front wheel is buckled, the handlebars are bent and the mudguards are twisted.
Have to see if Ron can replace the front end or build a new one completely.

Front hub is a Schmidt Dynamo hub, the dogs wotsits.

Seat post is c'os I'm a lanky git on a compact frame :D

I saw a very similar one go on ebay for £200 odd a while back, 105 with levers not sti. Good nick.

Ron charges about £500 for a new frame I hear. I expect Vaz Bros could sort out the frame for about £200. I know they put in new tubes.

My little Cooper shuddered when shown your pic. I got hit by a car a long time ago and my left fib. looked like your front wheel.

Main damage was two broken fingers to left hand

plus some nice bruises every where else.

@ Scarlett I might have to wait for the payout from his insurance CTC are on it.

Sorry to see that, anything to do with fingers is nasty. My Cooper sends its condolences (as does the washing machine).
