-
• #7
but is it Ti?

No price on their website. http://www.cycles-for-heroes.com/blog/mo-s-mallet
Kinda goes against the DIY ethos of polo?
Guess you would get consistent mallet every time though if all you had to do was cut the shaft down. -

The only reason that there is a DIY ethos is because nothing was previously available.
By your standards the Joust should also not be available as it goes against the ethos of "any old bike". -

Imagine the outcry when they start making polo specific balls?
-

By your standards...
Calm down, it was a thought nothing more.

Why do you assume I'm not calm, I'm meerly pointing out that if you think people should have to make their own mallet as a rite of passage then they should also have to play on a bike they've build for the sport too.
Don't get me wrong, I will always build my own mallets as I like to make them in a specific way but it's progression for the sport for people to be putting thought into products such as this of the lucky heads.

We're stocking Fixie Inc. at the shop I work at, so might order one in for myself.
I'll check retail price on tuesday and post it up.
Going on their bikes, it'll probably be real nice quality but not cheap... -

That's an ok deal compared to the modular heads at £15?
Do they offer any kind of guarantee (heh)?
First team to be sponsored will be..?

Clowns already have them. Hannes had one the last time he was here.

the internally threaded rod is awesome though. need to find some of that.
-
• #23
Isn't it normally the mallet that snaps before the head dies?
-
• #24
Rupert, what avantages do you see using the rod??
I think, it makes you do a bigger diameter hole through the pole, making it weaker -
• #25
a better design would have been to thread the tip of the pole so the bolt comes in through the bottom up inside the pole
from Eurobike trade show. It's called MO.
