Because of the sizing and going on the couple of friends who have tried it out I would say it's perfect for people between 5'5'' and 5'9''. According to those who have tried it out it rides like a dream.
Me and Stix had a go on it a couple of weeks ago... loooooovely

yep - it's worth bearing in mind that was a first build and since then it's had the rear wheel, the chorus seatpost and all the new stuff put on it.. so it should be even nicer..

Beautiful bike! How are you supposed to work out the fit of a lo pro without trying it first? I'm 6ft and ride 56 or 57 ctt normal geometry bikes. How tall are you pajamas? Oh yeah, great work with the magic gear by the way.

cheers lederhosen - yeah the gearing has a little bit of leeway as the dropouts are semi-vertical rather than vertical - there's more space than you get with vertical but not as much as horizontal dropouts obviously. In terms of the sizing, the top tube is significantly shorter than the seat tube.. a couple of people (one male and one female) around the 5'6'' mark tried it and they felt great on it and they looked really good on it... someone 5'8'' also tried it and felt great on it. I think someone 5'10'' would be okay but then you'd be extending the seat post to its maximum. I'm 6'1'' and felt like it needed a longer seatpost which of course starts messing with the look of it and looked like I was riding someone else's bike. unfortunately I'd say it's going to be too big for you man....

Be honest jimJams, that was too much bike for you.. too much steel for you to handle

Lo pros haven't even started to be 'big', they're too scarce. It seems they're part of the fixed scene due to their customisable potential as you find frame designs and paint jobs you can't get anywhere else. But they're ultra responsive and the acceleration you get off them is a blast. In the end they're just another kind of bike and great fun to ride round the city..i don't know anyone who gets the right set up who doesn't love riding theirs.
Aside from that, this is one rare frame from a prestigious framebuilder in incredibly good condition.

I'm working on my wife right now... But unfortunately can't afford more than F+F, so if it doesn't go as a whole bike, I'll be there to pick up the scraps, please.

I hears you e.e.i... let's see how it goes the next couple of days.

It's a great bike as it is and hopefully someone will buy it. If not, and you are willing to split, I will see what I can do. A month ago I'd get it straight away, pay cash and buy you a drink, but now I'm merely a housewife with some pocket money.
The lo-pro I own is tad too small for me (but someone showed interest in the frame and if it goes I'll be half way there). -

Nice bit of interest in the frame but I'm still wanting to sell the whole bike if it's possible - so please do have a look at the incredible condition of the frameset (look at how unmarked the underside of the bb is - it can't have been ridden very much in its lifetime, the frame's in almost perfect nick really) and then the spec and let me know if you're interested. It's unlikely you'll see this model frame more than once again and the bike is ready to roll. Make me an offer if you don't think it's worth £700 - though I know it's a good price I would still prefer to sell everything at once for the convenience of it.
Bike now being split - see price list below
Frame and forks - SOLD PENDING COLLECTION
Pinarello Prologo frame circa 1987. Columbus Cromor Tubing in metallic turquoise blue and white, with chrome forks.
Seat Tube C-T: 57cm; Top Tube C-C: 52cm; Rear Dropouts: 126mm; Seat Post: 27.2mm
With Royce bb and specialized headset - offers based on £350. I have several people interested at that price; along with the Royce as described it's worth £400 and more. I'll take £350 if no-one wants to move on that and then it's about people who dibbed etc.; if you think it's a good price at the moment and it's a frame you're mad keen on then make me an offer to secure it, for once it's all about selling quickly and smoothly as I'm broke and Christmas is coming. You can see the quality and condition from the photos and it's even nicer than this when you're looking at it properly. A very special frameset.

Frame
The paintwork and chrome is all in fantastic condition, with just one or two small chips and slight wear to the downtube decals. The blues in the photos don't really do justice to how exquisite the turquoise of the frame looks; the paintwork is among the best I've ever seen and the chrome is excellent. Along with it you get all the Pinarello stamps on the forks, seat cluster, stays, bb shell... even the seatpost binder bolt is the original Pinarello one.
Because of the sizing and going on the couple of friends who have tried it out I would say it's perfect for people between 5'5'' and 5'9''. According to those who have tried it out it rides like a dream.
I spent three months getting this together then riding it out once and knowing there was no way I fitted it.. you can imagine my disappointment. It was built with care - the chainline and chain tension (thanks to the slight play in the dropouts) are near perfect and the gearing is nice at 47/18. As you can see there's plenty of stuff on it for the sale that is brand new unridden; the wheels have also been serviced in the last couple of weeks.
I'm looking for £650 for the complete bike. The frame is beautiful and rare and the spec is pretty good. I'll be willing to split the bike if there's no interest in it but priority goes to people interested in the bike. I won't post - this is a bike worth taking a train ride for maybe.. so London collection only.
Please contact me by pm if you're seriously interested in the bike. I won't be responding to enquiries about individual parts until I have confirmed there's no interest in the complete build.
Cheers!
