There's something specifically horrible about the idea of falling over in the bath or shower, though, when naked and wet. It's always really given me the willies.
You'd get the willies if it happened in jail.
well.. maybe not you... but a bloke maybe

Solid gold... Work up another hour or so of material and you've got yourselves a digital TV show... ;D

He's like the forum's own Karl Pilkington
That bath one made me wince.

No-one's mentioned the stair fall. It really looks like he's going to properly smash his face in. It makes me wince like fuck. Getting the willies in jail would make me wince too, for that matter...

'It is the ambiguity of the body's position in space that allows and requires the viewer to resolve the full meaning of the photograph. Do we fall? Can we fly?'

Are you guys fucking serious???
The bath? The fucking ladder? He's falling off a bridge FFS! Theres one of him on fucking fire! ON FIRE!
Falling off a fucking ladder... jesus.
Fire is nothing, you've clearly never fallen in the bath onto the base of your spine, it's make chuck norris wince.

He's lucky; people still say he's fallen. I'm getting to that age where it becomes "he's had a fall...."

I think this is actually completely counter-productive. Unless they're really gullible, people will always immediately want to know: 'How did he do that?' If the answer then is 'oh, ropes/photoshop' etc., no-one's going to bat an eyelid, move on and not worry. The lame attempt at association with the harrowing choice faced by people to burn to death or jump to their deaths in the 11th September attacks only ends up making the latter appear more harmless.

11th September, Oliver... Sorry if I missed something...

Oliver is talking about the often overlooked Al Qaeda greased-bath-mat outrage a couple of days before the Twin Towers attack.

Ha, daft. Tired. Thanks for the correction.

And people think what I do is strange...

this work is highly derivative of the art of the late great dutch performance artist, Bas Jan Ader, who died at sea - also of that of the Viennese Aktionnists, except, & here oliver is absolutely right, it is recouperated & rendered harmless, a fleeting visual conumdrum to tease the eye

What you do is strange. Hang on, what is it that you do again? ;P

Bas Jan Ader, who died at sea
