Theres a guy in the "what to do in case of accident" thread who specialises in cyclist claims. Wothr a try if none of the other recommendations work out.

Hope you heal up quick mate. Get a solicitor on the case even if the third party insurers admit liability. Make sure whoever you choose works on the basis of no win no fee, and that they will claim their expenses separately from your compensation. I have a wheel you can borrow if you need it-Open Pro on an On One fixed/fixed hub 120mm.

Heal up quick DJ.
Did the cops arrive? What did they say?

What you need James is some cycle training.

Sorry to hear about the collision, James.
Have you got witnesses? There's a big chance you can win the case if she was trying to nudge you off the way and then she will have to cough up the court costs. -

I'd suggest croquet. It's safer. Although, there's still mallets involved. Hmmm ... fencing, perhaps?
You're my pal I said.
All the best James. Don't watch anything amusing, Hurts like hell when you laugh.
As for sneezing, forget it...

Broken shoulder, 6 months of TFL travel cards, repairs to the bike, clothes and emotional distress. It was actually 6 and a half grand. Must say, two years on, the shoulder still hurts in days like today, wet and cold.
That's a good result (physiotherapy is expensive). I should sue the brewery after my crash.

Heal up James, ribs are not the best part of your body to break.

I'm pretty sure it's not news for DJ ;-)

Condolences for your wheel and rib, Ive had friends with broken ribs who have all told me its the most painful annoying injury ever. I tore a muscle between my ribs a couple months ago and that was excrutiating enough. I can sympathise with your pains but im sure you can handle it being a master swordsman.
You seem well covered for legal advice. You probably already know that legal expenses are claimed off the defendant and as youd only start a case you were sure of winning your all sorted. No need to go with a terrible ambo chaser. If you do decide to take legal action be prepared for the process to take very very long. Your lucky it was something as simple as a road accident, legal action against employers/NHS etc can take may years to sort out.

Damn James, hope the damage ain't too bad. Heal up.
Are you looking for a no win, no fee (well, technically a 'conditional fee arrangement') type lawyer or would you pay for a 'normal' lawyer - if the latter I can find out some names and rates.

Jeebus DJ, glad you're fairly alright but in the words of Frankie Fraser -
You're a fuckin liability you are!!
-
• #70
i was waiting at a red light and got hit from behind
how does that make me a liability
she then tries to drive off and repeatedly rams me
am still not sure how i am liable
though she tried to claim for a scratch on her bumper where she had hit me!

This whole affair has been a mis-carriage of justice.
It has had a big impact on my confidence on the road.

Cunt.
It was on Chiswick High St
Lights were red so I filtered down the right and pulled into the ASL (well as much as I could fit in due to a car already encroaching it). There were two lanes (left or straight on) and I was in the straight on lane. The lights were filtered for left or straight, the left turn light went green and the car behind me just drove straight into the back of me.
Driver starts shouting and I say the police need to be called. She gets back in her car and tries to drive off with me standing in her way. She nudged me repeatedly with the car (whilst I am on the phone to the old bill). Eventually she agrees to wait for the old bill.
My favourite comment from her was it would not have happened if I had been wearing a helmet (she was hysterical and also said her son had been killed in a cycling accident this year so it was all a little dark).
heal up quickly james
