  • 1st point against = How many miles on the second leg? 60ishmiles fixed is tough enough thankyou. I can't even imagine riding fixed over double that distance. Sure, it's not the most amazing feat like riding around the world or something but it was a nice enough film and a good excuse for an evening out.

    it's actually normal, quite a lots of time trialist back in the golden age of cycling usually ride on fixed wheel bicycle, at the time people can't really afford to own a car or another transport, so they often cycle 50 miles to a cycling event, race, and then cycle back on the very same bike (they usually carry a set of wheel build for racing), probably nip to the pub 10 miles down the road first before heading back home.
