Levenes:
Ask for Kevin O'Sullivan.
Must confess to never having heard of that firm. They are not recommended in directories.

I will ask our defendants pi people what they think of them.

I'd start by dealing direct with her insurance company - if they admit liability you might get what you want without much hassle.
If she contests, then seek legal advice.

Prancing James, You are a fucking muppet of the highest order. I suggest that you sell all of your bikes (to me, for cheap) and take up crochet as you are a danger to yourself and everyone around you.
Heal up soon you daft cunt.

She gets back in her car and tries to drive off with me standing in her way. She nudged me repeatedly with the car (whilst I am on the phone to the old bill). Eventually she agrees to wait for the old bill.
This would have made me really mad. Well done for keeping your cool.
Didn't the police have anything to say about her driving her vehicle into you in order to flee the scene?

I'm using Alyson France (http://www.alysonfrance.co.uk/) for a claim I'm making against the local council.
They specialise in Cycle and motorcycle claims and have given me plenty of good advice so far. A guy name Aidan Jones is processing my claim- been very helpful and knows his stuff.
The firm are based in Liverpool though- don't know if you're after someone London based
The claim is still in progress so I have not won any damages as of yet, but I'd still recommend them
Heal quick!

I'd suggest croquet. It's safer. Although, there's still mallets involved. Hmmm ... fencing, perhaps?

6 grand! what the hell happened to you?
Broken shoulder, 6 months of TFL travel cards, repairs to the bike, clothes and emotional distress. It was actually 6 and a half grand. Must say, two years on, the shoulder still hurts in days like today, wet and cold.

6 grand doesn't sound near enough for that amount of pain. how many offers did the insurance company make?

Get well soon and check out the CTC solicitors 'Russel, Jones & Walker'
http://www.rjw.co.uk/legal-services/unions-federations-charities/membership-organisations/ctc/road-traffic-collisions/James
Russell Jones & Walker have a specialist cyclist unit and are to be highly recommended. Will e-mail you details.
Already there :)
'Rib has popped out'--yours? Did you fall/were you catapulted forward?
Sounds like a bizarre crash, and yes, the woman was probably completely stressed and couldn't think (and probably shouldn't have got in her car that morning by the sound of it).
That helmet thing--you can just see how it functions in people's minds--it's both a token of how dangerous cycling is, how cyclists put themselves in harm's way (and therefore a symbol of people's excuses not to cycle and to continue to cause themselves inconvenience by driving), but conversely how they can also be blamed even in this sort of crash, where a helmet obviously didn't even get a chance to collapse catastrophically, for not wearing one.
