• 1/8" is a larger size used only on single speed (freewheel and fixed) bikes. if you have a geared bike your chain will not fit on a 1/8" chainring.

    But a 1/8th" Chain will fit a 1/8th" chainring/sprocket AND a 3/32nd chainring/sprocket....!

    philosopherdan, if you can post a brief description of what you're trying to acheive maybe we can give you more suitable advice...

    For example if you have a road frame that you are going to convert to fixed, youre going to need a new back wheel to run a fixed cog with a lockring, that cog can be either 3/32nd" or 1/8th", both would work with the Miche chainring and a new 1/8th" chain....
