  • So the same question would apply, how did you ethically deal with that?

I'm an atheist, as such I have no religious guilt surrounding sex.

As for whether being Vegan would affect/cause a problem when it came to the spilling of semen, again that would be down to the individual.

Being vegan is open to an amount of interpretation, the generally accepted definition is, "Veganism is a way of living that seeks to exclude, as far as possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing and any other purpose".

One persons interpretation or what they consider possible and practical will be different to everyone elses. As an example, Where one person would consider a life saving drug that was test on/a bi-product of/somehow related to or synthasised from an animal as a necessity for the continuation of life, someone else may deem that it is not an option.
This is not a black/white situation as it could be argued that the person who accepts the medication is doing the right thing by continuing to live to spread what ever message it is that they are living for (This isn't necessarily a conscious act, you do not need to force your opinion down someones throat for them to take note of your actions/beliefs and adopt it as their own).
The person who chooses not to accept the drug is effectively ending their own life, this will mean that they are no longer around to influence the opinion of others but at the same time they are no longer contributing to the consumption of natural resources and causing no effect to any living creature.
As to which is the best decision, that's not for me to say.
