I agree, to me that Colnago is a bit of a mess...
-
• #6653
what a way to ruin a nice fucking frame
Hold on a cotton picking minutes, kettle perchance?

Nothing wrong with this apart from the bar shape, and that's only personal preference. The arched wheel eyebrow looks a bit redundant and a little camp, but that doesn't make it anti.

some of those bikes are cool
you know nothing of anti+1

Overkill perchance? the frame is a SE Lager;
-
• #6665
se lager flat tyre.
goldie looking fix, not that anti.

That's hardly anti-porn mate.

the thing is- I'd prefer people to spend money on components than on frames.
the other way round is stupid.
that lager= godliness. -

what about the front disc brake?

disc brakes are the future.
trust me. -

that lager= godliness.how so? the frame is the central part of the bike. a cheap 100mm stem and an expensive one function much in the same way (ok, so less flex or whatever), gets the job done, cheap parts with the same dimensions can be got, but frame material and geometry i think are more important.

Material and geo yes, but I've got to agree with eyebrows and say component (mainly BB, cranks/chainring and rear hub) choice has a great importance

The Bianchi Roger is a great bike - only wish they sold them outside the US

+1
$3000 wheels and $300 frame will be faster than $300 wheels on a $3000 frame e.g. Halo track wheels on a Cervelo P3 -

disc brakes are the future.
+1
To put it another way, rim brakes for playing in the mud are history -

Being in the bike trade i'v seen a fair few broken/cracked/bent frames and you know what, it's always on high end bikes.
Plus, if a frame fits then who cares what it cost, who decided on the geometry or what it's made from.
I know that if i had the money i'd get a ti frame built but i'd ask the builder to base the geo on my Fuji Track coz it fits me perfectly.
I know it's a Colnago and it has been handbuilt by virgins in the Vatican or something but still.
Good night
