They're really great photos as ever Will, great memories, though it's impossible to capture how infuriating the tap out's sea of bikes really is to play against. Lining up on your own facing so many friends, each of them trying to get in your way, or more, is pretty damn intense.
Gus, Aidan, Agata, and everyone else who'se posted in this thread who I haven't seen so recently - I'll see you all just down the road, there's plenty of polo to be played in 2010.
I don't think I'd've played polo tonight if I wasn't leaving London on Saturday morning (oh yes that's right, I've tapped out but I'm still slacking in London for a few more days) and this was a suitably memorable evening at Mitch, with biblical rain, a tense league game in near-impossible conditions on a court half underwater. I wasn't far off the Malletov v Moving Target ice polo of last winter, during the first league. But that's polo, and any polo whether winter or lazy summer afternoon, tournament sudden death or drunken throw-in, is equally awesome. So tonight is just another night alongside so many incredible memories I have of the last 18 months in London, riding my bike in circles trying to hit a ball between traffic cones.
Enough #cheese,
Forever and ever,
Polo.
