I have been riding with an older Deuter, with the air mesh thingy, and compared to my Chrome Metropolis, it definitely "breaths" better.
The curved shape does however cut down on space. You may want to go one size up. And look for the Deuter Cross Air EXP
Might be worthwhile taking a look at the bag in an outdoor shop before buying.
Shop around too, Evans is expensive.
