is 50 n/m enough torque?

Nice idea and they look to be good quality. But it would mean adding the chunky socket not to mention a 1/2"ratchet to my bag, which is a fair bit more hefty and cumbersome than the ubiquitous 15mm ring spanner. (I know some folks here go for the fix-the-tube-with-wheel-in-situ method but I'm not one of them and anyway if you get a big hole or gash your fecked and you need wheel off and new tube in.) Good I s'pose if you lock up your Zipps round the back of the pub regularly.

The M9 tool has a hole drilled in the end, so you could use an allen key as the lever. I'd probably only ever bother with this for the front wheel so an M9 would be all you would need.

how do these work? the bolts are just subtlety machined to only fit their tool, correct?
I suppose they're better than nothing, but a vice wrench could probably grip these, no?

I'm interested in a review of these if you ever order them.
I wish pitlock were compatible, but until then, these would definitely be another security level.

Yes and maybe, although they do taper off at approx 30deg angle so using vice grips should be at least difficult.

I wish pitlock were compatible, but until then, these would definitely be another security level. If I build up a new set of wheels soon I'll be ordering a set of M9's for the front wheel. I'd have these more out of convenience to carry 1 lock when away from the bike for short periods. Not a complete solution but piece of mind and I would think 99% of the time an effective deterrent for tea leaves with a spanner and allen keys.

I never got around to buying these, anyone else?

Oh okay you DID make this public a long time ago ;)

Thinking about ordering some of these, but trying to work out what size I need.
I'm using on-one hubs - anyone know which I'd need?
Cheers.

If my pompino ever arrives I'll get a set of these.

@hugo: if you still wonder about hte sizing, i have a set of hubs from them (hollow axle, right?)
and the front takes M9 where the rear comes with M10 nuts.i think they are well worth for the front wheel but doubt that the torque max of 50Nm is suffice to hold the rear wheel without a built in track style washer like these atomic22 ones.
so if someone tried them, any experiences to share?

After the pitlock fiasco, does anyone have any feedback on these? Cheers!
During a recent spate of uber googling I came across these: Anti tamper nuts to replace your standard track nuts. Individual tool to screw/unscrew which is unique to your nuts and registered to you when you order. M9 & M10 threads available. 2x nuts plus tool comes to £14 + postage.
Check it out here:

I don't know if these are resistant to vice grips but given there is no flat sides and they taper off at roughtly 30deg they'll put up a good fight.
