During a recent spate of uber googling I came across these: Anti tamper nuts to replace your standard track nuts. Individual tool to screw/unscrew which is unique to your nuts and registered to you when you order. M9 & M10 threads available. 2x nuts plus tool comes to £14 + postage.

I don't know if these are resistant to vice grips but given there is no flat sides and they taper off at roughtly 30deg they'll put up a good fight.
