A tank:
GH2 was loosely based on this.
26" fatties roughly = 700x 23c
so with wide enough forks and stays then you can run either.
I went a bit further and wanted 700x fatties after a diet.
When GH1 was stolen this was my 1st point of call for a bike.
Well expensive, but I'd trust the dude- serious metallurgy and bike building knowledge.
(this last part was re Ti cranks- they also make super sex crabon wheels- like sushi, but for the discerning cyclist) -
• #22928
morati make some of the best ti cranks going, stiff as hell too.
-
• #22929
As light or stiff as carbon cranks? I just assumed they would be flexy, or heavy due to compensating for the material choice.
Anyway, the bike would look much better with some nice black cranks thought. Sugino or other with Shop14 anodising machine job [/scoble]

His bikes are sourced cheaply from china afaik -

I want to try snow cycling some day. ...
Ha! this is fun, as long as you don't mind going sideways down a hill ..at speed. Plus don't bother with brakes as they'll just collect snow and make your bike heavier - fixed gear is best. Plus needed also are covers over your spokes so your wheels dont turn into (heavy) discs of snow.. in my experience anyway..
its pretty popular in NZ (where i'm originally from), there are special bike days on some of the ski fields with races, jumps etc... good fun

Win.

(heavy) discs of snow
I think they played a session on 6Music

Why not? I've got some that I've had since 1992 blah blah blah
Fucking boring twat.

Fucking boring twat.
That's a little harsh.
What do you expect?
He tests footballs.
On that subject tho.
Why are pro cyclists so fucking ugly/boring?

I don't know, why are you?

Why are pro cyclists so fucking ugly/boring?
That is your opinion. Are you a model? Do people fight each other to be your friend? IMHO neither question actually matters but generally it's best to take a look at yourself before you go calling people names.
I'd argue that on the whole they're normal people and normal people generally aren't stunningly beautiful or riveting to be around.

At least they find each other attractive

'Take a look at yourself...'
Shit your right. I take it all back.

Nice Peloton

The wheels look weird.
-
• #22943
I'm more concern about the steep seat tube!
-
• #22944
Looking at where the wheel is in the track ends; maybe it's to get a shorter wheel base when the rear wheel is slammed? I guess it would have pretty standard geo with a layback seatpost or the seat all the back on it's rails.

Steep bike is steep.

Also, fucking anti.

I don't think you could get the seat back far enough to deal with that seat tube. Of course it would be fine on the track, over the bars and all that.
What is even more surprising is that the seat is not even set back any further than a standard seat tube angled bike. My wrists/arms/shoulders hurt just looking at it! -

Steep bike is steep.
79deg* seat, 77deg head.

• #22949
Mental. I'd love to give it a go though.

IMO this is a bit of sticker peeling away from a being a great bike.
Why not? I've got some that I've had since 1992, and they're still among the lightest cranks available and stiff too. There have been one or two under-designed models, but done right they should be as tough as 3-piece Cro-Mo cranks at half the weight.
