Kill a cyclist, hide the evidence, get two years

I've posted it before but I'm desperately trying to promote it because I think it's such a good post and can't believe it did not get more attention when I made thread for it.

Excellent blog. Scary how cheap our lives are, and how leanient the sentencing is against motorists.

Does anyone know if there is any EU directives or plans to chnage anything related to cyclist deaths caused by motor vehicle traffic? The authorities in this country are far too car biased and will resisit change in our favour. Maybe the EU sees things differently?
