In the run up to Christmas, and given that you're new... perhaps go for a little later closing, 7pm say?
That way you can reach the post-work crowd and let them know you exist.
You can always settle back to 6pm closing come January if it's not profitable to be open then.

+1 I hate shops that shut at 6 as I can never get there due to being at work.
My local bike shop has ensured that I never buy anything from them ever again by stopping opening until seven as a money saving measure.
It's certainly saved them from accepting my money.

BLB, 14, Evans etc all open until at least 7pm, lots of people don't even get out of work until 6pm if they're lucky, myself included!

Marks just saying six because he doesnt want to work late!
We are going to closing closing either 07:30 or 08:00. The shop will be open from 10:30 Saturday. CrazyJames, the Gorilla's will be coming in very soon. I think they are going to do a little launch party for the kilroy in the shop.
Thanks to every one who came down last night. If any one has any photos we would love to post them on our flickr! E-Mail them to info@tokyofixedgear.com

You're open for 22 hours? Fuck me, that's awesome. I could stop by on the way back from the pub.

Very nice shop. And rather nice people too. They let me in before they were officially open for trading so I could pick up a chain I'd ordered but was delayed due to the move. Will be there again soon, preferably after payday.

Been in there 3 times over the last few weeks, the shop has grown on me, the range of components they stock is pretty good, and the prices are in general very good, a couple of things even cheaper then online. Guys in there were very helpful.

+1 ^^^
Don't think so. You mean the red one with the extended seat tube? It's a Mercian. Was on eBay recently apparently, sale ended early.
