Maillard large diameter freewheel remover

just read the other post, my axle was bent too, I ended up binning the cassette and gluing a single cog on, and replaced the axle with a £5 solid/bolted one off ebay
it works fine now

Sorry, can you explain further what you've done, not sure I get is...
I have a replacement axle already from an old wheel that I can use, but how would you solve the problem of the cup that is not attached to the body of the hub? Did you have that problem too?
