    I can see this junction from my office, isn't it the same spot another cyclist got killed a few months ago?

    RIP

  • You mean last year with an HGV (turning left), but the collison pattern is different as she was pretty much right on the crossing outside CSM on theobald road, poor girl.

  • Wan-Chen McGuinness was killed their sep 08 by a left turning lorry, it's a horrible junction

    Very very sad! Thoughts are with her family

    So this wasn't actually on the junction but the set of lights 10/15 foot past the junction?

  • Okay to put it very clearly, this is where I saw the bus that was jacked up when I cycle past by;

  • Shit news, again

    RIP :-(

  • so sorry to hear this very sad news

    thoughts are with Dorothy's family and friends

  • Okay to put it very clearly, this is where I saw the bus that was jacked up when I cycle past by;

    the fatality last year was where Vernon place meets southampton Row (bottom left on that pic above) very tight railing and high curb.

  • Last night at 11.30 I saw a lots of police cars, fire engine, and a double decker bus tilted on one side

    Ed, can you remember the number of the bus route?

  • Oliver - the story that is linked to above says bus 98

  • Condolences to the girl and her family.

    I can also see that intersection from my window and I cycle through there every day. It is a nucking futz place. Ride safe all.

  • Oliver - the story that is linked to above says bus 98

    Thanks, Chris, missed that.

  • The 98 terminates there--just metres away from the collision spot.

    Speculating, the driver may have pulled into the stop too fast.
