Very true. Just out of interest, can you get a fixed free bolt on?
Do you mean a flip flop hub?
If so, thats kind of what you get by default by using a SS mountain bike hub with an ISO rotor mount on the other side.
I'll be running this fixed until I can afford the rear disc brake, then I'll go SS and only change back to fixed occasionally.

funny, man, thats exactly what I'm doing!
waiting till i can afford that rear hub.... -

I've been getting about on this:
Crap pedals replaced at weekend but tape still grubby.
Well impressed by all the recent DIY machines I hope this becomes a theme. -

This build is taking ages.
Still needs:
Black Stem
Matching Rims (Have my eyes on some black cxps)
Decent crank set
Decent Cassette
Decent Mech
Pedals
Shifters - can't decide on down tubes or bar ends, bar ends is currently winning but need aero bars (that fit, the cinellis on the table don't seem want to stay in place...)
A chain...

Hi I don't know but if Mr Crane says Aende I'll go with it.
It has a beautiful paint job with script for one Luc van Acker (Belgian?) and a shop in Ostend on non drive side? Frame is numbered and it has shimano dropouts.
Bought it a year ago from Jos (TdeV) and I love it.
Any other info from the Crane? -
• #18762
hmm i thought it was the one Rik used to have
more aende info on the thread

Ha, wouldn't worry about it Mr Crane, I am probably better off knocking bits of wood about with my hammer and rather than confusing myself with the digital age.

Downtube shifters. Definitely.
Why tho?
The brazes still have the original paint looks, no sign of shifters being on them, see other photos in flick..I think it was built for bar ends... -
• #18770
Because I don't like bar end shifters, I have downtube shifters on my lo pro and it feels right shifting there.
It's only my opinion but that's what I reckon.

that sounds like
"I cant go back on what I said/admit im wrong so I will make up some poor excuse and keep my head up"

whats bar grips are they ?
i really like them,
but besides, that's one sweet bike you can do no wrong.
you what son?
you're only option here is SS disc compatible rear hub.
Then you have an SS side so Free, and bolt on fixed.
otherwise you're gonna have to build it yourself.
