The 16.5 EOM is the harshest riding frame I own. Which is why I was convinced it was alu, along with the massive oversize tubing. The rear triangle is really tight and the frame is very stiff. I only really use it round RP and at Herne Hill weekdays. The commute is not a pleasant experience on it. Its very nippy though.
I would not say its a crap ride.
Also worth noting I used to have a H+Son on the rear of the bike and that made it pretty harsh. Now I run open pro's with low flange DA track hubs and its better.
