Thanks for the advice Olly - I'm sure I can find an old mouse mat at home, and I have years of experience of playing with scalpels, so piobond is the missing link.
In my excitement I have already bunged a roll of film in the camera and started snapping. Having read people's reports on this camera I'm looking forward to seeing some results.
