Rather, we should wish him that he will discover cycling and enjoy its benefits. To be parsimonious with wishing people good outcomes, even if they do wrong, is never a very good strategy. To wish serious injury on someone is disgraceful, especially if they have just punished themselves for their own stupidity. Everybody deserves good things to happen to them, and it is often precisely because people are deprived of them that they do stupid things like this driver's dangerous driving.
Maybe he hasn't had many good things happen to him? life delt him a rough hand
Maybe driving quickly and aggresively is normal behaviour in his eyes?
Maybe he doesn't see it as a threat to others?
What if he has had several cyclists cut him up and act agressively to him when his son/daugter was in the car?
Maybe when he lies in the hospital bed with his new oyster card at the ready and a huge stack of police forms, insurance papers and a bit of a head ache he might realise acting a selfish dick has consequences.
I wouldn't wish harm on anyone but if some tool got kicks out of driving at me and i saw him upside down a little battered and his car written off i'd pull a front row seat, get a coffee have a fucking good laugh watching the cold realisation of his stupidity come crashing down on him.
