was just "handling" a droid...it's a chunk of shit, nowhere near as stylish as the dext.
At first I thought this statement was a rather fanciful representation of the truth, but it seems that winston may well be on to something.
The Motorola Droid, so far, appears to be a very able phone, but also quite lacking in certain respects. I had liked the idea of the physical keyboard, until I've seen that in nearly all reviews, its deemed as deeply flawed, and frustrating. If I want to be frustrated, I'll get married. Phones are supposed to make my life easier. Fail
Apparently there is a significant difference between the physically identical Motorola Droid, and the Europe-bound Motorola Milestone. The Milestone will have multi-touch screen capability, and yet bizarrely, the Droid does not. Since the devices are identical, it will obviously be a hot mod/hack that the grateful Yank audience will anxiously await.
My big issue with the Droid/Milestone, is that the memory space for downloads/apps, again has been restricted to 256mb. This is incredible! Its the same puny shit that the G1 was neutered with. Well frankly, thats shyza. I will now anticipate the Acer Liquid A1 and the Sony-Ericsson X10 instead. Why on earth would Motorola allow such a puny space for apps, is beyond me. Maybe its just keeping to costs down, so as to maximise profits, but I think it was a mistake, and a badly missed opportunity. No doubt it will sell well, but people like me, that want gigabytes for app downloads, will pass on this one.....despite that superbly superior 3.7inch hi-res screen, and fast processor.
