Yep, merino definitely wins! The Endura t-shirt is good but the howies equivalent is MUCH better. It's also damn near double the price but I got mine half price from Wiggle a coupla years ago and it's still going strong, and doesn't smell at all, and sweating is one of the few things I'm good at in life.
Got the Endura Beanie on Saturday (Cycle Surgery price matched tredz.co.uk :)) and it's pretty good, bit sweaty (see above). reckon It'll be appreciated in the depths of winter.
