Has anyone every heard of a Heidemann Werke Einback frame. The decals say the model is a "lazer custom" (yes, that is how laser is spelt on the frame) and it has a "made in Western Germany" sticker on it?
Any good? Anyone seen this before, tinternet doesn't seem to have much info on it
Yup, Heidemann (town = Einbeck, Westfalia) was a quite wellknown bike company in Germany. Mainly regular bikes, city, touring, trekking, kid, that kind of stuff.
The first time I heard about the brand was when our LBS was selling "race" bikes from Heidemann to school kids. You may know these: fenders, kickstand, rack, derailleurs, chain guard, drop bar (steel), suicide levers, possibly stem shifters.
Later I visited the company for my profession. There was a very nice chap (engineer) called Thomas Beye, who had a crush for (road) bikes.
