  • I don't understand this post - could you put it in laymans terms please.

    I think mitre tester wanted to express that:

    • horizontal tube between both BB-shells should be oriented in horizontal plane to increase strength and stiffness, rather than vertical orientation.
    • for the same tube, aerodynamic shape doesn't make any sense, because it's not in the clean air and it's almost 100% in te riding direction. E.g. teardrop / oval shape would make some"aero" sense on downtube or fork blades.
    • he's questioning if one drive train on the left and one on the right makes sense on the track tandem because of (limited) life of rear BB axle. A double FC on the rear BB axle and both chains on the right maybe?

    Well... nice thoughts.
