OK, panic over. The spare key hesitated but then opened it up. Phew and phew again.
The lucky magic blue laser did the trick. Don't knock it.
Now I feel I need to chuck some graphite dust in there and operate it a few times before using it again. It makes more sense to me than filling will dirt attracting oil.
