Do these use different cleats to SPD-SL pedals?
-
• #6
Totally different. Not compatible.
These are SPD-R. The cleats look a bit like SPD cleats for MTB (but aren't). Same shoe fitting as MTB SPD's.
SPD-SL cleats look like lOOK cleats. Same fitting too.SPD-R pedals have 2 kinds of cleats: fixed or float.
And don't forget to assemble the pontoons. -
• #7
Same shoe fitting as MTB SPD's.
It's not.
the bolts are top and bottom and the slot is long, some shoes have a fitting thaqt does both, like these: but you can't put spd-r cleats on standard mtb spd shoes.

Oh, yes, my mistake.
Used shoes that took all 3 kinds.
I mixed up with the old, tiny SPD road PD-7410.Anyway, the answer remains the same.
SPD-R not compatible with SPD-SL. -
• #9
and to confuse matters even more, there was a wellgo spd-r cleat that fitted either spd-r or spd soles. i wish you could still get those (in fixed pattern,in this country)

Looks like the photo above is of the actual pedals.
I bought them from the same guy whose picture I stole from the Internet.
How can you determine the year or whether the cleats float?

SH-90 cleats are fixed, SH-91 are 6 degree float.

^ Fools seldom differ... How's the BB, ADT?

^Condor only had proper boxed one for £35 instead of the unboxed OEM ones for cheap but still £10 less than Wiggle.
Had slowest ride home evar cos noise was terrifying. Think i can probably replace the fucked bearing(s) and have a spare. -
• #20
Great price... :o
But my dura ace for £25 aren't?
:-(
-
• #21
Didn't see those, that's an even better deal... Sell them to Lee... ;]

I have a pair of these (dura ace, I think), scratched to buggery, somewhere in my spares box at home. Will never use them. If anyone's interested, send me a pm and I could dig them out. Free to a good home. No cleats.
