Yep it's usually hard to notice whether or not you're catching the bit right at the end of the barrel. Usually with the key unturned it's worth a good wiggle- then you'll feel it slip into the last bit.
And hopefully voila.
I know this is the third time this solution has been mentioned but I've already typed it so it's getting posted.
