My Kryptonite Evolution Mini D lock was feeling a bit grournchy this morning when I put it on my bike. This evening the key turns but the damn thing won't unlock.
I tried dousing the key hole with electrical component cleaner but no joy.
The key rotates 90˚, it's not sticky at all, but it just doesn't open as it should. I tried for half an hour and had to get the tube home. (don't worry, it's in a relatively safe location) The lock is through the frame onto the rear wheel and nothing else.
Options:
Try spare keys tomorrow? Doubt if this will help.
Try another spray of some kind, although it seems smooth already.
Drag it to Cavendish and seek help.
or get someone to grind or drill the thing off (how do I do this?)
Hopefully I was doing something woefully wrong today and it will just unlock tomorrow like magic.
