Why? A lot of cross bikes route the gear cables along the top tube with the rear brake cable to stop them getting fouled with mud. Routing them internally offers yet more protection.
I think internal cable routing for a CX bike is a rear disaster.
I haven't seen cable guide systems that are really waterproof.
That means, that you have to be able to "release" all the cables quickly and easily.
Even cable stoppers that are not slotted are not liked by CX riders and their mechanics.
Internal cable routing is a gimmick, not practical.
