Mud guards

A certain bike mechanic I know who likes cider and heavy metal said a funny thing to me about the Crud Roadracers the other day, something along the lines of 'I fucking hate them! The brushes ... they use something touching the tyre in order to stop the guard touching the tyre, how stupid is that?!'*

But there's no accounting for taste. Mudguards are great, especially for the rider behind, so more on the road is fine by me.

i have one on the front, and it sounds like you are riding flipper the fucking dolphin. the 'stays' and the moulding rub on the wheel/rim
okay when noisy, but when not, it gets up my grdle.
