Have just taken off a Shimano one of these and gone back to fixed because it was so damn clunky. I hear these are much nicer, though. Will be putting together a single-speed again, but will use road wheels and a single-speed kit.

These WI hubs are the dogs cahones.... I did quite a bit of investigation into them and have been delighted with the 18t one I have (running with 54t Dura Ace chain ring) I have bought this one from nimbhus as by summer, I will be flying around London thighs burning....

Clunky is good, loudness of clicks is a sign of good quality pawl mechanism.

Ah, but the Shimano one wobbles slightly as well. Haven't been impressed with it at all. These ones do sound good - shouldn't have skimped. Unlike me to miss an opportunity to spend money on bike bits.

very nice condition, little wear to teeth, shiny and good. sounds lovely.
slight scratch on lockring where LBS took it off.
