Anyone tried Tubeless Tyres? (Not tubs)

  • Just wondered what people's experience was of them? Thinking of getting some

  • shit. in reality if you flat especially this time of year do you want to mess with that gunk etc.even racers I know get rid of them and put tubes in- seems that people who dont ride their bikes much( racers who drive everywhere) have them most often, whatever though try em.

  • An expensive mistake. Either go tubular or stay with clinchers. These have the disadvantages of both and the benefits of neither.

  • Was out in the Surrey Hills last weekend - one of our group had a flat wtih tubeless; the gunk failed. 40 mins, plus three inner tubes to get him going again. There is no way I would ride them on an everyday bike; maybe for racing on, but that would be it.

  • Shit, gonna try them, hopefully the gunk won't fail on me. Was considering trying them without the gunk but definitely not now.

Was really thinking about them for my best wheels, not sure i'd ride them in winter, particulalrly as i've punctured 3 times in 2 weeks recently, though 2 were impact punctures(tubeless supposed to be better for resisting these)

  • they shit homey, waist of money
