Go to halfords, be nice to the guys there, buy something and ask if they can do it.
I went in with a frame and bought a crank puller. I asked at the same time if they could drop them out for me, they were not busy so they did it there and then for free.

It's an old frame with lockring bb had bad experience with halfords.
Hence either the two london shops, or my lbs the day after.
cheers.

if you're talking about on your bike in tooley st, maybe it's worth to have a chat to Thor at Druid Cycles:

Mine was a lockring BB too. Took the bloke all of 2 mins... had a nice chat too. Don't knock halfords, they aren't that bad. They have been more helpful than my LBS at times...

I'm on foot, I might leg it to Druids though.
Not knocking all Halfords, just local to me.

Good call. They're getting very good feedback from Southwark Cyclists.

Holmes, I don't know if their official opening times, but they were open after 7 last time I was there. It's not a shop as you know it, but if I understood it right a community project where Thor is teaching volunteers in bicycle mechanics.
They're the perfect place to salvage old and make sth out of it, by the looks of it. I am not good with a spanner, but when I went there first time he was asking me "how much can you do on your own" ... might just show you how to do it and lend you the tools. Never know. -

Sounds good!
Hello,
The choice is either On Your Bike or Recycle, my lbs said they would take the cups out for 5 quid. So was thinking that to remove bb and cups should be about 10 or 15.
So Recycle or On Your Bike, or wait a day and go to lbs?
Cheers
