Not tiny, exactly. The L has a 552mm top tube, which is actually about 10mm longer than my Koga so I could run an 11cm stem instead of my current 12cm. Obviously, they're catering to the Japanese market, so you might have to wait a long time for an XL with, presumably, a 569mm top tube

has it been discussed why it has really long track ends and an eccentric bb?

My guess is that you can decide the distance you want the rear axle to be from the bottom bracket, as this will affect the ride characteristics, and then use the eccentric BB to get correct chain tension.

Its so you can flip the wheel for your polo gear.
