Of course Tesco are cheaper - they're arse-fucking their suppliers. It's not the case that WFM are more ethical, they're just slightly less unethical. The purchaser and the supplier are at either end of a long corporate chain where everyone takes a slice. I'm all for WFM because I'm happy to pay a little bit more knowing that the grower is being slighty less screwed.
