split and you might make 500, complete more like 350 if you can convince somebody but even then people are only gonna buy to split out and sell - all the bits are nice

Not looking for advise, critics or opinions. This is a for sale thread

am afraid when you open it up to offers you open it up to us to give you our opinion! i think you secretly knew people would say this no?
- it's friday night and i am in on the internet so clearly have nothing better to do

this is quickly digressing into nonsense
this is a serious for sale thread, open to offers means open to offer = sums of money. including £150 despite how ridiculous and uneducated that particular offer is.
Opinions don't come into the equation.I put this thread on here as i thought i would offer my bike to members of the forum to which i am an active member. I could have saved myself the grief and put it on eBay. End of discussion and detrimental comments on my post.
I Look forward to serious offers over the weekend before it goes on eBay Sunday night. Thanks to those who have already submitted PM's

FiddyTwo!*
*Unfortunately you can't force others to be serious on your thread. In fact your attempt to do so only encouraged me to post something silly.

Not forcing anyone to do anything just holding out hope that on this 'community' people would respect a genuine sale from a forum member. Any posts out with my expectations just serve as free bumps.
All the best

Basic rules for classifieds:
- You must post the classified advert in the Classifieds forum.
- You must use a thread prefix if one is applicable. If more than one is applicable you must select the one that you most wish to happen. I.e. select "For Sale" even if you are also willing to trade but would prefer to sell.
- If you are selling your item via eBay or another site, and the audience is not restricted to the forum membership, then you should NOT post it on here as it will be deleted (read the first paragraph of this post again). Exception: Other people are allowed to discover your eBay advert and post it in the eBay/Craigslist finds thread, but YOU should NOT do this.
- No bumping on anything you're offering (for sale or trade)! Exceptions: 1) If you included a price as per the advisory, you can bump the thread to drop the price. 2) If you hadn't added enough information (such as photos) and now want to.
- No fishing expeditions. You are either selling something or you're not. Either it's in the classifieds or it's deleted.
Advisory (not rules):
- Update the thread (or close it) when your item has sold.
- Put a price in the first post, with ONO (Or Nearest Offer) if you're willing to negotiate.
- You must post the classified advert in the Classifieds forum.

you underestimate the intelligence of the members on this forum... i'm afraid your 'track bike' is a big bag of hipster crap and would only appeal to a naive newbie who is won over by shiny arospoks and pink unikak chains...
it's as if you bought a unipak and just threw every bit of 'cool' componentry on it you could find -
don't get me wrong, all the bits (part from the VISP frame) are nice and i don't doubt you paid some money for it - but you will get much much more on ebay than on here to the more discerning of fixed gear cyclists... it's just not something people on this forum respect.especially on a friday night
