  • I found an old peugeot esprit in my friends shed so decided to convert.

    It started off like this:

    There was a bit of surface rust, no issue, but the stem and bottom bracket were well and truly siezed. The stem needed a week's worth of caustic soda treatment whereas the bottom bracket had to be removed using brute force and the trusty blow torch. After nitromors and a lot of sanding it ended up looking like this:


    I was tempted to leave it raw but decided to prime it, paint and clearcoat it. I used montana 94 in cosmos violet which is really low pressure and gives a nice opaque colour and then sprayed on some metallic flakes before clearcoating it with montana hardcore.



    The photos are exceptionally rubbish, i'll try and get some decent ones sometime.

    Stem: 3ttt 90mm
    Handlebars: Nitto b127/soyo long grips/dirty harry/odyssey slick kable
    Brake: campagnolo xenon
    Saddle: Rolls
    Chainset: velosolo lasco 44t chainring/velosolo 16t cog
    Pedals: mks sylvans/on one double clips/on one double straps
    Feel free to shove this straight in to anti-porn.
