Lycra has the advantage that it dries in time to ride home. Colleagues may not like the wet socks and other items hanging to dry in my office but at least I know that later I will ride home and have a hot shower as soon as I get home.*
*Provided that my daughters, who are both playing truant from their respective educational establishments, have not used all the hot water.
