£260 for an handlebar that will be uncomfortable on the road is not my idea of fun!
I know I'm late to this particular party, but...
It's a fucking TRACK bar, you twat!

Did you just took my comment seriously?
Believe me there are people in London's famous London who would pay that much for a carbon fibre handlebar just to ride around town, like that rich bloke a while ago who brought that £800 Cinelli MASH frame, 2 HED3 trispoke wheel and lots of flashly bits from Bike 14 on the same days and still not very confident riding it, let alone brakeless.

If hipsters look out for their friends, then i'm guilty as charged.
I'm sure hipsters do look out for their friends.
I would never suggest that it's a character trait exclusive to hipsters though.

Consider my comment redirected at them, then.

But... can anything like this be bought new? A bit of Googling seems to tell me that these are from the 80s. Why didn't the idea catch on?
It seems so intuitive, I've never understood why pedals are square instead of shaped more like your foot.there is a pair of those on the bay atm

@ henry...excellent...what uni?
He's at Oxford.
sounds real interesting, huh?
i told him to get me a carbon monocoque frame and i'll test it, he wasn't keen -

Presumably this is marketing speak for a thin veneer of carbon wrapped around an aluminium bar.
There's not much info on those bars but other components by the same company use some interesting techniques.
handlebars are made from ultra high modulus carbon fiber using a novel monocoque, one piece carbon tube forming process that does not use bladders.
I assumed they were full carbon, going by the price. They do do some alu/carbon bas though so you could be right.

I'm sure I can get a frame like that, all I need is a fillet brazed/TIG welded one, and some car body filler.
Good morning, i use epoxy resin first and a heavy epoxy primer after, looks pretty much likes nuknow's image and i allready check it on steel and alu road bikes.
Cover your nose and mouth when you sand off epoxy materials cause our boby
takes 3-4 days (with enormous nerves) to reject them... :)Finished with an alu-zig primer (its like flakes of alu and you can use it like
middle grey metallic if you like).Happy customizing!

Try opening both eyes and looking at it from a distance.

Hardly pornworthy component-wise, but holistically lovely.

i really like this but would look loads better with a cinelli 2A which hopefully would match the slope of the top tube, the stem on there looks really strange with the angle of top tube.
-
• #22292
seems he raised the stem a fair bit already, so for a functioning track bike, a stem with more of a negative angle would be pointless. but for aesthetics, maybe you re right.

I need that cyclops frame in my life.
I LOVE the eye of providence decals so much, they are AMAZING.

Yawn.
Reckon this would help...
I think you should organise a forum bulk buy for those asap. They'll be very popular.

Looks relatively nice in an artistic sort of way but can't imagine it fitting in with many bike colour schemes.. Is it ironically a stand-alone porn component that would turn any full build into anti?

If you like that kind of thing, Wellgo make 3 models with integrated clips, of which this is the best http://www.wellgo.com.tw/p-image/LU-961.jpg
and VP make 3 or 4 different kinds with this http://www.vpcomponents.com/pedals_show.asp?pid=83 seeming to be their top of the range (they are the actual manufacturer of the System-Ex ones)
