  • sad news, thoughts out to family and friends.

  • thats a rough stretch and they drive like loons. very sad. i hope there wasn't too much suffering

  • so sad, RIP

  • awful. so sorry to hear this.

    Please take care out there.

  • shit. that is horrible. my thoughts go out..

that section of road is very fast... with weird a lane merge then split again at the next lights...

This morning the same section of road cordoned off by police, but I didn't see anything much as I was on the other side of the road. But there was a bike propped on the gutter ... looked like a white mountain bike (may well have been a police one)

  • Think I saw the same thing, Police cycles, stuff scattered across road, abandoned scooter.

  • someone at work confirmed there was an accident there yesterday morning.

  • Tragic waste of life....RIP

    +1
That section is dangerous at the best of times - road positioning is key, but makes naff all difference if you are clipped by a motorbike

  • Terrible to hear that shit!

  • bleak news.

    RIP

  • This is really sad to read. My condolences to friends and family.

Does anybody know anything more about this incident? I've googled for more info but nothing obvious coming up. Reading comments on here and others on Bikeradar, it sounds like this was an unfortunate fall. Has anyone seen a report of what killed this lady nine days after what sounds like a bike on bike collision in heavy traffic?

  • Clipped by a scooter, judging by the post above and the fact that one was seen within the blocked off area of road on the day. What happened after that is unknown.

  • RIP terrible news.

I meant in terms of why did a spill in traffic at perhaps only 10mph result in her death? It's the seeming absence of a major crash that has really disturbed me, for some reason. But this lady's story doesn't seem to made the papers, so I can't find any official reports. I wondered if anyone knew more.

  • Terrible news, RIP.
My condolences to friends and family.
