  • Some personal opinion, thank you, that was what I was after. I know there's an abundance of photographers on here, hence why I asked, and I thought it more reliable than google reviews, and more relevant because I want a comfortable camera bag for my bike. Which is also why I didn't ask the photography forum I'm on. Two hobbies, one question.

Now, I"ll stop clogging up this thread with pedantic points and let it get back to bags. Specifically those that are comfortable to ride with which hold cameras well.

    Wicksie...

As a working professional I can heartily recommend anything by Kata or Thinktank.
Lowepro is ok as well, (I do own some Lowepro stuff) but not up to the same kinda durability and comfort level as Kata, and I only use thinktanks modular system for weddings, events, etc... for speed and all-day comfort, I use their steroid speed belt and various holsters, sliding pouches so I can carry a couple of bodys with lenses in holsters and just pull em out when I need them, plus other essentials like pocketwizards, cards, and spare cables/brackets etc.

If its a backpack/messenger bag type thing you want, then KATA are the best out there IMO, i've had one of their backpacks now for over 2 years and the thing is bombproof, it gets daily use, a minimum of 4-5 days a week, and its like the terminator of bags (except without the awful 3rd sequel and stupid prequel shit).

Something like this would be nice for on the bike:

However the level of protection is not heavy duty enough that I would be "happy" to crash on it, if that makes sense.

I own the previous version of this:

    http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-kata-r-103-gdc-rucksack/p1008673

Can't remember the model name but its discontinued now, however the level of protection is so good i'd be happy to throw it out of a first floor window and still expect my gear to be just fine, pisses all over the Lowepro equivalent in those stakes, and a very good padded back and straps that are super durable.

However downside is they are not light, but the first one is far less bulky to carry on the bike, depends what you need/want from your bag I guess.
