Rechroming is not that easy and therefore more expensive than normal chrome plating.
First, you have to get rid of the old plating => stripping.
Then the normal process of chrome plating: polishing and several layers of plating (whatever you want and what the company can do).
I think the quote is not bad.
Check with them if they can "promise" that the fork will come out like new.
Note: this should not be done with very thin tubing.
It's getting even thinner than with normal chrome plating.
753 is not allowed to do chrome plating, absolutely no rechroming.
