You are effectively advertising items that are in your house. I usually meet people around the corner from my home and then go on my instincts to whether to let them in or not.

Yeah that is fine but if I am buying and doing everything on a street corner then I am asking for trouble too. Hence I don't just meet people in laybyes for deals.

2nd hand is good but you have to be aware.
