hahahahaha I think the bike is being returned. We have left all our locks on, Gumtree girl has taken hers off. Although she is in tears and doesn't know what she is going to do with out a bike to get to work on. I should probably make her a cup of tea.

not that i've got any stake in this whole episode, nor even any (useful) parts to contribute, but building a beater at cost is a very generous offer and she'd be foolish not to take it IMHO.

On the other hand, if she accepts that the bike was stolen and is prepared to buy another as cheap as we can make a decent one then OK, lets see what we can do. You never know, she might turn out to be a really nice person and a productive member of the forum.
